Carousel horses decorated by artists to celebrate New York State 's Hudson Fulton Champlain Quadricentennial,
The 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson's discovery of the river that

bears his name, will line the streets of the Nationally Registered Historic Business District of the Village of Saugerties beginning Memorial Day
Weekend and culminating on September 12 th when the Merry-Go-Round

Gala and auction of the horses takes place. The Gala will be held at the world-class
show grounds at HITS (Horses in the Sun) on the Hudson . Proceeds from the auction will be shared among artists, area food banks and the Saugerties Area Chamber of Commerce.
